Annual Aldersgate Festival of Lights Brings Joy, Song and Joy to the Community of Charlotte | national news

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina, Nov. 23, 2021 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) – Aldersgate is excited to host its annual Festival of Lights Tour on its campus on Saturday, December 4 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. This free event features thousands of twinkling lights and visitors are encouraged to roll down the windows, greet residents and listen to local musicians.

“This incredible event was created last year to bring the community together during Covid, in a safe way and for a much needed cause,” said Brooks Shelley, Head of Brand and Community Engagement. “Aldersgate hosted more than 600 participants in guided car tours and raised 1,400 pounds. non-perishable food for the Second Harvest Food Bank. The holiday celebration brought such joy to visitors, residents and team members that we wanted to bring it back again to spread the holiday cheer.

Entertainment along the way will include the beloved Latin group “Furia Tropikal”, as well as Impromptu Acapella (a division of Carolina Voices) and the Ethiopian Community Association youth group from Charlotte and the surrounding area. In keeping with Aldersgate’s commitment to fostering diversity, the groups and entertainment featured cross multiple cultures and traditions. Participants will receive coffee mugs with sachets of hot chocolate and individually wrapped cookies from Manolo’s Latin Bakery. Manolo’s Latin Bakery shares Aldersgate’s commitment to philanthropy and won the Tiptree World Bread Awards Heroes USA 2021 by the International Bakery Industry Exposition.
