Coffee tips go to BCYMP
BROOKINGS – The mission for September at the Mission Coffeehouse at First Lutheran Church is the Brookings County Youth Mentoring Program (BCYMP).
BCYMP is a structured mentoring program that builds and sustains cohesive and nurturing relationships to challenge growth, provide support, and expand opportunities for mentors and mentees in Brookings County. The organization is strengths-based and inclusive. All BCYMP mentors are recruited, selected, trained and supported using evidence-based best practices from the National Mentoring Partnership.
Any parent or guardian of a Kindergarten to Grade 12 student in Brookings County can apply to have a BCYMP 1: 1 mentor for their child and / or participate in small group coaching. Any adult interested in becoming a BCYMP mentor can start by completing an application, which can be found on the website.
