GREENFIELD – The “Fill a Truck, Fill a Pantry” Food Drive will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 16 at the Greenfield Christian Church parking lot, 210 E. Main St.

The event is hosted by the Rotary Club of Greenfield and provides non-perishable items to the Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen, Hancock County Food Pantry, Shirley-Wilkinson United Methodist Church Food Pantry, and the Fortville Area Resource Mission.

Take advantage of the adult costume ball on October 29

GREENFIELD – An adult costume ball, dinner and dance event will take place on Friday, October 29 to raise funds for Hancock County Mental Health Partners and Talitha Koum Women’s Recovery Home.

“Nightmare on Main Street” will take place at the Bradley Hall Events Center, 2 W. Main St. with cocktails at 6pm and dinner and dancing at 7pm. Tickets cost $ 100 per person or $ 700 per table of eight. Participants must be 21 years old to participate; tickets are available at nightmareonmainstreet.org or at Penny’s Florist Home Decor and More.

Lego event for children planned

GREENFIELD – Kids from Kindergarten to Grade 5 can participate in a free Lego building event at 3 pm Tuesday, October 12 at the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road. Everyone will receive brick balls and a building plate. The finished creations will be exhibited in the children’s room. Register on hcplibrary.org by clicking on the Events tab.
