HSFB: 14 Lowco stars to star in SCISA All-Star Game

A total of 14 Lowco-area football stars from six rival teams will team up in the SCISA North-South All-Star game on Friday at Heathwood Hall in Colombia.

A six-star group from quadruple SCISA 1A champion Thomas Heyward highlights the roster with outstanding linebacker Brandon Howard in the lead. Joining him are offensive linemen Symir Mitchell and Max Hickey, wide receiver and defensive back Cody Parker, defensive back and kicker James Townsend and versatile athlete Jordan Mikell.

A two-way star pair from two-time SCISA 2A champion Hilton Head Christian Academy is also on the roster of Joseph “Speedy” Robinson and Jackson “Bulldog” Lanier. Hilton Head Prep and John Paul II each had a pair of caps, with kicker Trevor Weldon and fullback and linebacker Jake Rodney-Brown representing the Dolphins and wide receiver and defensive back Mark Knight and linebacker Michael Carbone earning a JPII spot. .

Beaufort Academy linebacker and linebacker Cody Dalrymple and Colleton Prep quarterback and defensive back Drew Murdaugh are also part of the South.

The Lowco stars make up more than a third of the 36-player southern roster, which will be coached by John Paul II’s Chris Myers. Thomas Heyward’s defensive coordinator Michael Heath and assistant Justin Stuckey are on South’s coaching staff along with JPII assistants Luke Guess and Josh Craven.
