Joshua Link, 43, from Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed peacefully into eternity on July 30, 2021 after a fierce five-year battle with colorectal cancer. Josh, who died in the arms of his beloved wife Mary, is also survived by his two sons, Ezra and Jude. He is survived by his father, Bob Link (and stepmother Tammy), of Roswell, NM; her mother Jenise Flowers, from Albuquerque; her sister Charity Martin (and her three children), of Troy Texas; half-sister Megan Lanning (and husband Matthew and three children), of Mansfield, TX; and half-brothers Shelby Hubbard (and Ciera and two children), of Hobbs, NM; and Corey Hubbard (and wife Cheyenne and child), of Roswell, NM.

Josh graduated from Goddard High School in Roswell and New Mexico Tech College in Socorro. He worked for the Modrall law firm in Albuquerque for several years before starting his own technology consulting firm. His latest business, Ambitions Consulting Group, was started with his partner and good friend Lucas Raël and he greatly appreciated the employees / friends who helped him and Lucas make the business a success.

But Josh cared about his family first and foremost. His wife and children were the center and the joy of his life and the reason he fought so hard for a living. Josh has lived an abundant life both physically and spiritually. He expertly skied and mountain biked with his father and friends until a few weeks before his death. His friends were lifelong friends. He was known for his kindness, loyalty, strong work ethic and competence. People were drawn to his welcoming and friendly demeanor; he really loved and cared about people, and it showed. As some have noted, the world will be a meaner place without Josh. And as friends have said, “Josh’s presence warmed your soul. . . and provided you with the nutrients of life ”and the love of Christ, and his loss leaves an immeasurable hole in all of our hearts and lives.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Josh can do so by donating to BelieveBig.org, a 501 (c) organization that provides resources and supports cancer patients by funding clinical trials of mistletoe therapy ( therapy that dramatically improved his quality of life and helped slow the progression of his cancer); or ccalliance.org, which is also a 501 (c) organization dedicated to funding colorectal cancer screening and raising awareness of the importance of early detection of the disease.

A memorial service will be held later this month in Albuquerque, but it will be limited due to Covid.
