Randy and Marli Brown

The community is warmly invited to a Gospel and Contemporary Worship Fest on Saturday, October 1 at 6:30 p.m. at New Life Christian Fellowship, 317 S. Ripley Blvd., Alpena.

The evening features Randy and Marli Brown. A dynamic duo, the Browns are known for delighting and igniting audiences with their good humor and passion. The evening will feature a mix of classic hymns, gospel songs of yesteryear and contemporary songs of praise and worship intertwined with personal stories and humorous incidents from their lives.

The Browns will also share their music and spiritual ideas on Sunday, October 2 during the New Life worship service at 10 a.m.

Randy was trained in classical music and holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and Composition from Tyndale Bible College. His music includes a wide range of classical, jazz, big band, boogie and swing. He likes to say that he is committed to using all eighty-eight keys of the piano, although when he travels he uses a Nordic keyboard.

Marli earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from William Tyndale Bible College. She is a gifted speaker and dynamic storyteller, as well as an author and musician.

They spent the first eight years of their married life traveling while living in an RV. This season of their lives inspired Marli’s book, “Ridin’ Shotgun.” In 2013, they purchased a home in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area that serves as the ministry’s home and office. They continue to travel around the United States, performing in churches and other venues.
