Providence Classical School Patriot 1m and 5k Perseverance Races

Providence Classical School held its second annual 1mile Walk in The Light Fun Run and 5k Patriot Perseverance Walk/Run Race Saturday, March 26 on the trails behind Jamestown High School. Temperatures were chilly, going into the 40s, but the excitement and energy kept us warm!

This year, we welcomed 174 registrants, a 25% increase in participation compared to last year. The age of our participants ranged from 4 years old to 98 years old! Riders had the opportunity to warm up before the race with Burn Bootcamp Williamsburg’s Jason Maravich, enjoy fruit and health bars from Publix and assorted donuts from Duck Donuts, and raffle to win race checks. generously valued gifts from Burn Bootcamp Williamsburg, Mega Auto Spa, Menchie’s, and Sno-to-Go.

We closed out the event with prizes for the top finishers and recognized the following top three men and women:

Top three male finishers

  3. Jason Miller, 44, Williamsburg, 8:40 p.m.

Proceeds from this fundraising event support our new sports department as we add team sports to our program offerings.
