Women’s basketball

Head coach Joni Taylor has announced the signings of Janiah Barker and Sydney Bowles to join Tineya Hylton. Barker is the third overall player in the country according to ESPN. She currently plays at Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida.

Bowles plays at Woodward Academy and is originally from Lithonia, Georgia. She is a four-star rookie and the country’s 37th player, according to ESPN.

Gymnastic

Georgia gymnastics has announced three new entrants in the 2022 class. Athletes include Naya Howard, Jacquelyn Moran and Ariel Posen.

Howard trained at Ocean Tumblers. She was the national champion at the helm in 2018 and was second on beam at the 2021 nationals. She was also a member of the national team, USAG national qualifier and a member of the all-star team of the region 7.

Moran trained at San Mateo Gymnastics. She was the National All-Around Champion and the National Bars Champion in 2019.

Six freshmen will join the Georgia soccer team in 2022 as the program searches for a new head coach following the departure of Billy Lesesne.

Equestrian

Head coach Meghan Boenig has announced that 12 new recruits will be welcomed into the 2022-2023 equestrian team.

Of the 12 who have signed, two are from Georgia. Kinsey Cooper from Montrose is a western rider and Ella Duffy from Marietta is a show jumping rider.

The other 10 have signed in locations ranging from New Jersey to Arizona. Out-of-State Western Riders are Alyvia Dixon, Quinn Eisenfield, Shelby Lynch, Kendall McClintock, and Raegan Shepard.
