LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — The family has announced funeral arrangements for Gwinnett’s tax commissioner, Tiffany P. Porter, Esq., and all tax commissioners’ offices will close on Thursday, May 12, so associates can pay their respects.

Events will take place on Wednesday and Thursday May 11 and May 12. The public is invited.

A public wake will be held Wednesday, 4-8 p.m., at Gregory B. Levett & Sons Funeral Home, 914 Scenic Highway, Lawrenceville.

Additionally, the public is invited to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.’s “Ivy Beyond the Wall” Ceremony on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. at New Mercies Christian Church, 4000 Five Forks Trickum Rd. SW, Lilburn.

At 10 a.m. Thursday, a funeral procession will gather in the Nash Street parking lot of the Gwinnett Justice & Administration Building (southeast corner of Nash Street and Constitution Blvd.) and leave at 10:30 a.m. Attendees did not need to join the procession to attend. funerals.

Mrs. Porter’s funeral will be held Thursday at noon at St. Philip’s African Methodist Episcopal Church, 240 Candler Rd. SE, Atlanta.
