What would your Walk-Up song be?

Baseball is considered the American pastime. Everything in the game has a lot to do with tradition. That’s why I’ve always been drawn to the big old game of baseball. Like I said in my article yesterday, baseball has a lot of unwritten rules. But that’s only part of the game.

A tradition in all baseball that I love is the baseball player’s song. It’s probably strange for fans who don’t know what I’m talking about.

This is the deal. The player can choose the song that he likes or that matches his personality. This can be primarily in college, minor league, or major league baseball, but if high school or youth baseball has a sound system in their stadium, they can do that as well.

Now I ask you what would be your walk-up song? It is generally entertaining but can be original. My song would be Street Fighting Man by the Rolling Stones. It fits my personality perfectly and it would push me to be aggressive on the plate.

Baseball is a great and entertaining game. The walking song is perfect for the player. I believe this is the only sport where there is a walk-up song or a song designed for players. Sports are great for entertainment value, but when you add a touch of specialty marketing it makes it even more entertaining. Sport is excellent for this reason from a marketing point of view.

So what would your walk-up song be? It can be anything from country to punk rock! Let us know.
